Web platform for custom online classes and training workshops for the pharmaceutical industry.
Concept
The greatest challenge in designing the branding concept for this project involved preserving healthcare-influenced design patterns while avoiding traditional color palettes associated with public health. We decided to embrace a more modern combination which, aside from meeting our expectations, would help the brand stand apart from the competition in the healthcare sector.
Process
Across the project’s many stages, it was planning the successive steps of the deployment in order to make the system available to users in the form of a pre-established MVP as quickly as possible that proved the most significant obstacle. The first version of the Pharmacy College was made available to users only three months after we commenced working on the project. Splitting the implementation into separate stages allowed us to launch with essential features, thanks to which the webinars created for social media were used as the first educational resources on the platform.
STEP BY STEP
/ Step 1
Branding Workshop
We began with a branding workshop using our original Black Horse Method, which allowed us to compile detailed information about the needs of the developed brand.
/ Step 2
Branding
The branding strategy was developed from a detailed briefing combined with an in-depth audit of the situation at the company interested in developing the app, and provided a roadmap for drafting the brand’s new creative concept and logotype.
/ Step 3
UX Workshops
The Hatch Method, another custom approach from our portfolio, involves using workshops to collect all the necessary information about IT projects from which then a detailed UX strategy is developed. With this approach, we were able to quickly map out key objectives and identify relevant app features.
/ Step 4
Prototyping
The app development process kicked off with prototyping based on the UX strategy drafted earlier, and working out the application’s detailed structure. Each subview was then rendered into a clickable prototype.
/ Step 5
Graphic Design
Immediately after the prototypes and features were approved, we began designing the app’s main view and two subviews that demonstrate component usage in various configurations. After these were approved, we developed the final application layout alongside an entire bank of components needed by frontend developers for easy app deployment.
/ Step 6
Frontend Deployment
The final layout we designed was then deployed and integrated with the backend prepared by a developer team. Strong collaboration between frontend and backend teams allowed us to develop the product dynamically and release subsequent updates at a consistent pace.
/ Step 7
Drafting and Managing Platform Content
We were also commissioned with keeping the platform supplied with a steady stream of fresh content. To that effect, we produce workshop announcements, podcasts, training films, and online training classes, along with attendee management. We provide consistent monitoring of the platform’s content pool and its growth.
/ Step 8
App Marketing Campaign
Based on Google and social media, the campaign was designed to drive audience engagement and user visits. Pharmacists continue to join the platform thanks to free webinars available through social media.
Specification
The platform’s primary objective is to provide pharmacists a repository of webinars, podcasts, workshops, training classes, and online conferences, as well as access to upcoming online training seminars which can be attended either live or via the platform. Like other healthcare professionals, pharmacists must continue their education in order to accrue points, and our platform allows them to do so without leaving their homes.
